Simi’s Birthday Shoot

We had a little wardrobe malfunction 72 hours to the shoot day! And we had to discard her original outfit which was sourced from switzerland. My client @simisolar was already not interested and was on the verge of having a nervous breakdownI spent a few hours re- assuring her that all hope wasnt lost. I quickly whipped on my Fairy Godmother cape and got on the phone with several fabric merchants. @thefabricroomng came to the rescue!! We viewed several fabric, but i literally heard this one scream ‘PICK ME’. I fell in love with it immediately. I knew for sure it would match the rose headtie which i selected for the client from Switzerland and the rose gold jewelry i saw from the corner of my eye during my consultation at the client’s home the day before. It was just the right piece to accentuate the outfit. I picked a simple style, komole. (Didnt want it to look like we are trying too hard. The fabric was already doing the talking! ????). I wanted her to look like a classic version of a yoruba queen but in the 21stcentury. @sheyeoladejo executed my thoughts to perfection. From my clients dance steps you know we nailed her look.
