His Royal Highness Oba Olukay and his Oloris❤️ Designing and sourcing the ideal outfits to complement the celebrant’s own gave me alot of headache

Mrs Olukay insisted that she Didnt want to tie ‘gele’. And preferred to look modern with her hair flowing in the wind. I succeeded in convincing her that she had to wear something on her head to complement her husband since he would be in full agbada. There began the sleepless nights of finding the perfect style that would make a nice fascinator out of asooke and not a turban as the client specifically said she didnt want that. Once Mrs Olukay brought me onboard less than two weeks ago… (might i add!) she quickly left all the planning to me.

I resumed correspondence with the designer making the children’s dresses. We agreed on a brocade fabric similar to their mum’s and i selected the style of dresses with a peekaboo side of tulle in onion colour. Their scrunchie headbands were also designed in tulle with gold stones and styled to the side to complement their mums headpiece.
